The second item in Kasey’s capsule wardrobe is a skirt. For Kasey, this skirt is her classic style! When you find a silhouette that works for you, make multiple versions. See part 1 here. Thanks Kasey!
This skirt pattern, Vogue 7910 (OOP), is a TNT for me – I think I can sew it in my sleep! I’ve once again chosen ponté knit, in navy to compliment my capsule.
Nothing too much to say here I haven’t already, other than to reiterate that the 16 oz ponté is wonderful to sew with, washes and travels well.
I assembled it on my sewing machine, topstitched with my serger, used a fusible tricot to line the facing, and stay tape along the pocket edges. I didn’t bother finishing the raw edges inside since ponté doesn’t ravel.
