Walking Skirt

This cute skirt took a back seat for Kasey a few years ago.  She finally pulled it out of the UFO pile and was pleasantly surprised at the finished product!  This fabric is sold out but you can find other knits here.
You can follow Kasey on her blog, Kasey Sasser Embroidery and Gifts.  Thanks, Kasey!!

Everyone loves to be physically active, but most of us don’t want to show off every God-given nook and cranny. What to do? A sports skirt, or skort.  This is Kwik Sew 3232; it’s a skort, tank and cardigan – and there are pockets in the skirt!

I actually started this project last winter (2018), don’t remember why I put it down. It came to together very easily as I recall, and when I pulled it out last week, all I had left to do was hem the shorts portion, and add the hook and eye.

By my notes, I lengthened the skirt and short by 4 inches and added 2 inches at the side seam (it is a misses pattern.) But it was quick and fit the bill – coverage while out walking, biking or pickle-balling.
Well, I’ll be walking in my unmistakable floral print scuba from Roz this week, and by next week the matching cardigan should be done!

That fabric is great, and WHY ISNT THAT PATTERN PLUS SIZED?! I am heart broken and jealous. But maybe I can find a similar solution. Thanks for the inspiration.
