Fabric Versatility

One of the favorite things that I do is putting fabrics together and thinking about the various outfits to make.  It all started with making Barbie clothes.  I would select the fabrics, make the clothes and then figure out how many outfits I could come up with.  Later in high school, I would do the same thing with my close friends, the girl’s guidance counselor, Mrs. Johnson and a few of my Mom’s close friends.

I thought it would be fun to do a similar activity with you.  I hope it will jumpstart your creativity and help you look at certain fabrics with a fresh eye.  The first two fabrics I selected are Pebble Beach Stretch Cotton Poplin (Sold Out) and Black/Silver Grey Eyelash Swirl.   These two fabrics work great together but I also picked additional fabric combinations and a few pattern choices.  These suggestions are not finite but meant to spark ideas.  You can also view the videos I made for each fabric.  Now, I’m new at videos so be NICE! 🙂
