LBD – “Little Black Dress”

Every woman could use at least one little black dress, but you can never have too many black dresses, or too many black shoes. Right? So let’s take a look at some options for updating your LBD choices!

How did we get the LBD?

  • Historians attribute the little black dress to Coco Chanel in 1926. The color she used, black, was against the norm of that time. Her design was classic and quietly elegant and has since become a mainstay in probably every woman’s wardrobe.
  • Make a dress that suits your personality and lifestyle.

Go Classic or Daring!

Use Vogue 1542 to make this elegant version with Black Wool Tricotine or Black Silk Charmeuse.

Or another option is Vogue 1514 in Black Rayon Jersey Knit

Hi Roz, the LBD is a must! I love the different fabric choices available too. I think the reversible black and white polka dot fabric is beautiful. I need to add that one to my fabric stash!
