From Function to Fashion! Bomber Jackets for Spring!!

  • Bomber jackets were also called flight jackets and can be traced back to WWI when military pilots needed protection from the low temperatures and high altitudes since most planes did not have cockpits that were enclosed. 
  • In 1932, A-2 bomber style was introduced by the US Army Air Corps. They were durable and comfortable.

The bomber jacket is still popular and stylish. Let’s explore some possibilities for making your own updated version of a bomber jacket.
