Winning Combiniation: Classic and Bold Print!

Patty sent in her recent project Butterick 3246 using White/Red/Black Knit.  I think the pairing of a classic style with a bold print looks great!  Thank you Patty!!

The fabric is a matte jersey from Sew Much Fabric.

Butterick 3246 (OOP)

I serged all sides of tunic top and skit.  Used 3 thread on serger machine. No hem on tunic top.  Using a walking foot, sew according to pattern directions.  I sewed 1inch on side seems at .3 length and loosened the tension by 1.  For silk braid I used invisible thread on  needle and C. Clark thread for bobbin.

Sew on top in zig-zag almost .3 length. and loosed tension one point.  For hem on skirt turned up one fourth inch and used EZ-Steam II. It is a 2 sided-pressure sensitive fusible tape made by Pellon got it at Jo Ann’s. Very good and easy.
