A Wardrobe Essential: The Denim Jacket

Finished my black denim jacket (this denim is sold-out other denims here) and can’t say enough about this fabric and how it sews!  Just wonderful.  I think I’ll get tons of wear out of this jacket from fall through the winter.

The pattern is Islander Jacket #218 — a great pattern with a three piece sleeve, cuffs, welt pockets, lots of interesting details.

This is my second jacket from this project. Even though there are a gazillion pieces to this jacket pattern, it is a fun project. I think it would be a good project for even a beginner, especially one wanting to ramp up her skills.

Thank you again, Cissie!  I know you will enjoy having this wardrobe essential in your closet.

Cissie always makes gorgeous things, and she sews so elegantly as well 🙂

Who wouldn't love this jacket? I especially like the curved front for a feminine touch and the buttons are gorgeous. Another beautiful piece by Cissie!
