A new fashion season is fast approaching but we still have some summer left. Before we need to pull out our sweaters let’s celebrate the sunshine and stitch up a few more items for summer.
White Linen, Navy Cotton Stretch Sateen, Mix Up Sweater Knit |
The Basic Fabric: Navy Cotton Stretch Sateen
This Navy Cotton Stretch Sateen is a fabric that can transition from season to season. For summer, shorts immediately come to mind. An anorak styled jacket would work great for fall, a pair of classic pants for the winter and a fitted sheath dress for the spring. And the navy color works for business, luncheons or weekend glam! This fabric will also coordinate with the Cream Stretch Sateen from July’sMWP and the Gold Metallic Linen Blend from June’s MWP. The Trending Fabric: White Linen
White linen is a fabric that trends every summer. I just love how the white looks so crisp against the Navy Cotton Stretch Sateen. Sew up a pair of causal white linen drawstring pants and top them with a navy crop jacket. An oversize white linen shirt with navy shorts always reminds me of summer vacation. A great look for the office is a white linen scarf paired with a navy fitted sheath dress. And white linen is the perfect choice for those “wear all white” summer parties. The Completer Fabric: Mix Up Sweater Knit
Navy Cotton Stretch Sateen and White Linen are great together but add the Mix Up Sweater Knit and you will increase your fashion points! Make a classic t-shirt using Mix Up Sweater Knit to wear with the navy shorts or pair it with the white linen drawstring pants and the navy cropped jacket. Sew up a maxi dress with Mix Up Sweater Knit and throw on the oversized white linen shirt or a navy cotton stretch sateen jean style jacket.
