It’s still hot here in South Texas-88 degrees today to be exact.  I’m still wearing my maxi dress I made this summer but didn’t review.  I used Vogue 1141 a knit top I made before (see review here)
I like to use my patterns more than once just like my friend Dorcas.
To make this into a maxi dress, I combined Vogue 1141 knit top and the skirt half of McCalls 6559.
I taped the two patterns together matching them at the waistline markings.  So easy!
I prewashed this fabric in warm water perma press cycle and dried on the cotton setting.  The fabric shrunk 7 inches!  I have washed this many, many times and it has held up beautifully with no residual shrinkage and the colors have held up well.  I turned the hem up twice and topstitched to give the hem more weight.
