Prewash: Washed in warm water and dried on a low setting.
Notions: Universal size 60 needle, straight stitch foot and plate, cotton batiste, sewin’ sheer interfacing, Dual Duty XP fine thread
Alterations: This skirt sits 2″ below the natural waistline and was 1″ too big. I moved the hooks over 1″. I also shortened the skirt 2″.
Construction Details: This fabric was very fine and somewhat sheer so I underlined every pattern piece with black batiste. However in the future, I will not underline the pockets.
I also used sewin’ sheer interfacing on the yoke in addition to the batiste.
The skirt does not have a zipper. The opening is through the pocket.
Conclusion: I love the fit of this skirt and the entry through the pocket. I have already made another skirt and a third one is in the works. I added red accessories for a pop of color.
