Eileen’s busy adding to her wardrobe.

Line Drawing

Fabric:
45″
100% Silk Crepe de Chine
(sold out)

Prewash: hand wash/lightly pressed

Notions: thread, universal needle size 70, tracing paper/wheel, silk organza for underlining

Alterations: None!

Construction Details: The front and back are completely underlined with silk organza cut on the straight grain. Tracing wheel and paper were used to transfer all markings to the organza.

The organza is attached to the seam allowance by sewing right sides together then turned so the wrong sides are together. This method finishes the seam edges.

The armhole is finished with a bias strip and hand sewn to the organza.

Lingerie straps at the shoulders

and Hong Kong seam finish for the hem.

The “bow” is really a loop and a strip of fabric. The strip of fabric goes through the loop-no bow to tie!

Eileen, I think this was a great addition to your wardrobe.
